What Does Intuition Feel Like ?

What does intuition feel like?

Intuition is more of a feeling that you get when making a choice. This feeling is created by your body as a response to stimuli your mind has subconsciously observed and cataloged from previous experiences. For example you go on a first date and experience a weird feeling about the person, and thus you don’t arrange a second date.

What Is The Difference Between Intuition and Judgement?

Judgement is when you take knowledge you know you have and use it to make a decision. For example, when someone tells you to “use your judgment” when picking a color to wear for an event. You know that something red might be a little too flashy and draw attention to yourself, but black might cause you to blend in too much. You have this information because of past events you have attended and what people have told you. Thus you use your judgement to choose the color blue.

It’s always a good idea to follow your intuition when you are faced with a choice. But this can be difficult to do, especially if you aren’t quite sure what your intuition feels like. And to complicate things even more, intuition is very similar to another factor you may bring to a decision, judgement.

What does intuition feel like? How Do I Know If I Am Feeling Judgement Or Intuition?

Now that you know the difference between judgement and intuition, how do you know when you are feeling one or the other? Well, the number one way is by noticing where you feel sensation when you are making the decision.

When you make a decision using your judgment, this will happen solely in your mind. This means that you make think through the decision but you will have no other sensations other than mental ones in your mind. And these mental decisions often have a source that you can clearly label for yourself.

When you make a choice using intuition, this is a full body experience. Although the decision may originate in your mind as it does with judgment, you will feel an invisible pull to one choice. Or you could experience a negative reaction to a choice.

Either way you will feel some sort of physical sensation which isn’t there when you make a choice using only judgment. And if you try to explain his choice to anyone else, you won’t be able to as it doesn’t come from cold hard facts like judgment does.

Another way you can discern between the two is by seeing if the decision requires justification. For example, when you are deciding whether you should order a salad, or a chicken fried steak, you may need to rationalize with yourself why you should let yourself order the fried option when the healthy option is right there.

Quotes About What Intuition Feels Like

Open your thoughts to the probability that you are more intuitive than you realize” - Sylvia Clare

When you reach the end of what you should know, you will be at the beginning of what you should sense.”- Kahlil Gibrán

We all have an inner voice, our personal whisper from the universe. All we have to do is listen -- feel and sense it with an open heart. Sometimes it whispers of intuition or precognition. Other times, it whispers an awareness, a remembrance from another plane. Dare to listen. Dare to hear with your heart.” - CJ Heck

This is clearly using your judgment to order food. On the contrary, maybe you are eating the food you ordered, and suddenly get a feeling that you should call your mom. No one has told you to call your mom, and you have no reason not to, so you do. You made the decision to call your mom based on intuition.

Concluding What Does Intuition Feel Like?

Judgment and intuition are two completely different things, and sometimes it can be difficult to tell between the two. But you need both of them to make decisions as you go through life. Just remember that you get intuitive feelings for a reason, and you should always strive to follow them.

Before you make a decision, ask yourself what does intuition feel like in this case? Don't allow your judgment get in the way! You never know when an intuitive decision you may make could transform your life for the better!
