These powerful bible verses for self doubt will help inspire you and motivate you to keep moving forward when you want to give up.

"And Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me."-John 12:44

"...but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father."-John 10:38

"The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves."-Romans 14:22

"...that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine."-Romans 1:12

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me."- John 14:1

Self doubt is our first enemy. We all tend to underestimate ourselves, in most things. Now, overestimating our abilities would be unrealistic and outright foolish in many cases. What we need is a belief that we are capable.

Unless we think ourselves to be capable, indulging in positive self talk and just telling ourselves that we are capable will not do the trick. We need to really think that we are capable and should be doing everything that we can to develop that thought process.
Positive thinking itself stems from our own abilities, past and our present.

The fear of the future also affects our thinking. Since future isn’t under our control or that of anyone, we should rather focus on the past and present and more importantly on who we are. Many people recommend forgetting the past. Well, that is not possible.

Unless someone has memory issues, letting go off the past or forgetting troubling memories is not that easy. Instead of trying to do that, you can develop positive thinking by believing that you are enough to handle a certain situation or to overcome a particular problem.

bible verses for self doubt support positive thinking

Positive thinking can be developed by feeling energetic, by being present in the moment, by watching the larger things unfold in their own rhythm and by observing everything around you.

When our mind gets cocooned by our own shortsightedness, it is then that we get stressed, bogged down and negative thoughts start to pollute our approach towards everything.

Positive self talk takes practice and positive thinking will need time to develop, unless you are naturally gifted in both.
